This Wes Anderson-inspired wedding photography collection was captured on genuine 35mm and medium format film, bringing together bold colour, playful symmetry and cool editorial portraiture.
35mm and Medium Format Film
The wedding was photographed using both the Contax G2 and Mamiya 7. The Contax brings spontaneity, movement and distinctive 35mm texture, while the larger medium format negatives create beautifully detailed portraits with rich colour and depth.
Using both formats allowed us to move between natural documentary moments and more carefully composed editorial photographs.
Editorial Portraits with a Cinematic Edge
The portraits draw on the visual language associated with Wes Anderson: symmetry, graphic backgrounds, bold colour and wonderfully understated expressions.
Rather than conventional wedding poses, we created images that feel stylish, playful and slightly unexpected. Some are carefully framed, while others capture the quieter moments unfolding naturally around us.
The Character of Genuine Film
Film is more than a nostalgic effect. It records light, colour and skin tones with a distinctive texture and character that cannot simply be recreated with a digital preset.
The result is a wedding collection that feels cinematic, tactile and timeless—combining cool editorial portraiture with genuine 35mm and medium format film photography.
